Personal, Associate and Affiliate Membership Application form

There are three types of membership: Personal Membership is open to all those individuals who can demonstrate an involvement in the study, research or teaching of youth ministry. Affiliate Membership is open to all academic institutions. The cost of membership is detailed at the bottom of this page. Associate Membership is for those who have a desire to become full personal members, but do not yet qualify according to requirements set out above. Such individuals can obtain all the benefits of full membership as laid out below, except for the right to vote at member's meetings.

Members receive the following benefits:

• A free copy of the Association Journal of Youth and Theology.
• Access to the Association website and on-line resources.
• Access to the members only email discussion forum and on-line archives of discussion topics.
• Preferential rates and bookings for the bi-annual Conference on Youth Ministry.
• Alignment with the only international, professional, academic Youth Ministry body in existence in the world at the moment.

Payment Being an international Association, we have a number of different fee structures to take into account different currencies and real value of money in different areas of the world. Membership fees effective May 1, 2007 Personal and associate members (individuals) pay the following: Zone 1: UK, Eurozone and Europe - 25 GBP Zone 2: Northern America (USA, Canada) – 30 GBP Zone 3: Africa & South America – 10 GPB Zone 4: Russia, Asian subcontinent, Pakistan and Indonesia – 10 GBP Zone 5: Middle East & Pacific rim, Aus & NZ – 20 GBP NB* Students pay only 50% of the above fee. Affiliate members (organisations and institutions) pay the following: Zone 1: UK, Eurozone and Europe – 50 GBP Zone 2: Northern America (USA, Canada) – 60 GBP Zone 3: Africa & South America – 20 GBP Zone 4: Russia, Asian subcontinent, Pakistan and Indonesia – 20 GBP Zone 5: Middle East & Pacific rim, Aus & NZ – 40 GBP Click here to open a new window with a universal currency converter to see how much this is at the moment, in your own currency. Please Note: The fee structure stated above is the minimum fee payable. We request all personal and associate members who are able to pay the full fee of $ 40 and affiliates to pay the full fee of US $ 100 to do so, and those who can pay more than that to consider assisting us to develop our bursary fund.

Refund policy:  If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your membership, or with any service the Association offers, you will be able to obtain a pro rata refund of your fees.  If any journals or other materials have been sent to you, this will be deducated from your fees, and the remainder refunded in a manner selected by the Association administrator.

After completing this application form, you will need to wait a few days to hear from the membership committee. We evaluate all applicants, ensuring that they meet the minimum requirements of membership. We will contact you by email and let you know the outcome of the process.
If you are successful, your next step will be to make payment for your fees - we will give you details in the email we send. If you can pay by credit card, you can do this via our on-line secure payment system, powered by WorldPay or PayPal Please note that we do not accept credit card payments from Nigeria or Ghana. Otherwise, you will need to make arrangements to deposit funds into one of our three bank accounts (USA, England, or South Africa), or send a check, money order, international draft, Western Union money transfer or other payment form in one of those three currencies (US dollars, UK pounds, or South African rands) - details of our bank account numbers and/or postal addresses is available at http://www.iasym.org/pay.php.
