The International Association for the Study of Youth Ministry (IASYM) is a not-for-profit global organisation. Our aim is to support and develop the professionalisation of youth ministry around the world. In particular, we focus on furthering the academic study and research of youth and youth ministry (children, teens and young adults), the formal teaching and training of youth ministry (at universities, seminaries, denominations, parachurch organisations, local ministries, or wherever else it may occur), and all those involved in career youth ministry and in the growth and development of youth ministry as a recognised profession. Membership is open to all those individuals and institutions who can . It isn't just for academics, but for everyone who takes youth ministry seriously - especially those who see a life-time career in youth ministry of any sort. We currently have nearly 400 members, in over 40 countries (Click here for a list of member countries). Our main language is currently English, but we are working to expand this to many other languages in the future. The IASYM is a registered charity in the UK (Number 1114169), and is a Registered non-profit organisation in the United States of America (Employer Identification Number : 94-331914; DLN – 17053092052011; Foundation Status Classification: 509 (a) (2)).
